Cave environments are rugged. Wear sturdy, closed-toe walking shoes with excellent grip. You must often descend steep ladder-style stairs backward. Cave interiors remain around 20°C year-round, so bring a light jacket.
For surface walks, bring a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and a large reusable water bottle (at least 2L per person). If you plan to explore self-guided caves like Bauhinia, you must carry a reliable torch.
