You must join a guided tour to see Chillagoe’s three show caves. A ranger leads all walks through Donna, Trezkinn, and Royal Arch caves.
Tours operate daily, excluding Christmas Day. Tickets cost $32.55 per adult for a single cave. You must book in advance and collect your tickets at The Hub on Queen Street.
Inside, the temperature stays at a steady 20°C year-round. Do not touch the stalactites or stalagmites, as the oils from your skin will damage them.

This cave features false floors, solid columns, and calcite crystals. The route is an 830-meter return walk taking about 1 hour. You will navigate 440 steps, including 33 steep ladder steps. Wear grippy shoes and descend the steep sections backward.
30-45 mins835m route520 steps
A steel catwalk encircles a large central mass of limestone here. You will see a prominent chandelier formation along the 835-meter route. The entrance includes a shelter shed with clear views of the surrounding landscape. The walk requires navigating about 520 steps.
1.5 hours1.3km return385 steps
Royal Arch is one of the largest cave systems in the park. It features large chambers, daylight holes, and tree roots. The 1.3-kilometer return route takes about 1.5 hours. Be prepared to crouch for several meters to clear low overhangs.
